Full Job Description Machinist
Setup and operation of a variety of CNC machining centers(VMC and/or HMC)and lathes in our machine shop, as well as program using Mastercam; CNC Programming, Setup and Operation; interpret prints, sketches, and models; verify machined parts to customer specifications.Person will need to know how to: * Read prints, make prints * Program (2D; some 3D) using Mastercam(currently running Mastercam 2020) * Setup Tooling, Work Holding and Parts * Operate Mill(anywhere from 2 pcs to 100 pcs for a standard order) * Programming experience in Mastercam or equivalent required. * Mills and lathes are equipped with Fanuc controls or Haas controls * Rotary Indexer experience a plus, but not required. Position demands an individual who can work in a fast paced/multi-tasking environment who is able to meet daily deadlines. Applicant should have a H.S. diploma, be able to accurately use a caliper and micrometer, read blueprints, and generally able to lift over 50 lbs. Position may require overtime.
Full job description Operator
Operate numerically controlled machines including machining and turning centers to perform standard and repetitive machining operations.
Close tolerances where set ups and prove outs are performed by others.
Work from part drawings and specifications or verbal instructions.
Recognize tooling, machine malfunctions, or operating problems, and report these situations to lead person for correction and adjustments.
Use micrometers, electronic and/or air gauges, calipers, verniers, surface gauges, height, and depth indicators to check work for dimensional accuracy.
Make minor adjustments to maintain tolerances and finish requirements.
Responsible for minor tool changes.
Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment and must adhere to all company safety policies.
Must be able to fill out required documentation, understand, and follow frequency of inspection.
Load, inspect, assemble, and pack parts in accordance with any of the following: visual operator manufacturing instruction, work instruction, OPPM, visual aid or quality alert and or any other documentation as required by the specific job.
Perform miscellaneous work assignments as directed by supervisor.
Must maintain a good attendance record.
Job Type: Full-time. Pay based on experience $16-$28/hr.
